Parents of 6th Grade Student. It's time to look at immunization records!!
The States of Texas requires all students to be up-to-date on their immunizations in order to attend school. Please check to make sure your 7th grader has the required vaccines. The vaccines required to enter 7th grade are as follows: 1 dose Tdap 1 dose MCV4 (meningitis vaccine) 2 doses of Varicella (chicken pox vaccine) 2 doses of Hep-A Immunization Notices have been sent via email. Check your email inbox. If you don't have an email - notices were mailed to current address on file.. Please send an updated shot records to the school nurse. Records can be hand delivered, faxed (512-428-3240) or emailed (click on the contact button above for email link). If you have any questions or need help finding a vaccine location - Please call the school nurse. |

SCREENING INFOMRATION
The State of Texas requires Vision, Hearing, and Acanthosis Nigricans screenings for all 7th grade students and all student who are new to Round Rock ISD. Spinal screening laws have changed: 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys will be screened during the first semester. If do not want your student screened for spinal curve send a note or email to the school nurse. Round Rock ISD is partnering with Sight Savers America this year. Student who are found to have a potential vision problem will be referred to Sight Savers America. This is a 501c3 non profit organization that works to identify and secure treatment for unmet vision and health needs that impede a child's ability to meet his or her full potential in school. You received information and an OPT OUT form in the first day packet. If you think you might have returned the OPT OUT form but still want your child to be able to participate in this program - Please call the school nurse at 512-428-3109. |
